Joel Nagel was the keynote speaker at the 12th Annual Family Office Super Summit, held in December 2025, at the Westin Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. The summit is the Family Office Club’s largest annual event and one of the club’s flagship gatherings for family offices and ultra-high-net-worth investors.
The 2025 summit brought together more than 650 attendees and featured more than 125 speakers and 10 curated networking sessions over the course of three days. Participants included decamillionaires, billionaires, accredited and angel investors, professional athletes, and medical professionals.
The event is known for its strong investment focus, with investors actively networking and engaging with vendors. Joel Nagel’s Keynote Fireside Chat: Defensive Asset Protection in a Complex Global Environment
The Family Office Club invited Joel Nagel to be a keynote speaker at the summit, where he spoke about his unique position of prioritizing defense amid a majority of offensive players. Drawing on decades of experience as an attorney who specializes in asset protection, overseas commercial transactions, and the creation of international corporate structures, Joel emphasized that an effective wealth strategy is about protecting what has been built just as much as it is about pursuing new opportunities, particularly in an increasingly complex global environment.
During his keynote, Joel also shared insights into the development of his own family office, SOFOS.
